As 2013 closed, group business finally showed some positive trends, and advanced-booking data from TravelClick and several hotel owners show that group business will continue to grow through 2014.

Looking as far out as October 2014, each quarter the demand for group business is significantly ahead—by just short of 10%—than group sales pace at the same time in 2013, said Tim Hart, executive VP of business intelligence at TravelClick.
