The U.S. Travel Association released a new analysis estimating that the congressional fiscal impasse is costing the nation $152 million a day in economic output because of lost travel-related activity.
The shutdown is affecting as many as 450,000 American workers supported by the travel industry, U.S. Travel said in a letter to President Obama and Congress.
