Amtrak’s Acela service between New York and Boston has been canceled for Thursday after transportation through the Northeast was delayed due to a power outage Wednesday morning, according to officials.
“Due to the ongoing commercial power problem in the New York area affecting Metro-North Railroad territory, Amtrak Acela Express service will not operate on Thursday, Sept. 26 between New York and Boston,” said Amtrak in a statement Wednesday evening.
