A French panel lashed out at online travel agencies, urging the government to outlaw some of their practices after hotel operators complained about the booking companies’ power.
France’s Commission d’Examen des Pratiques Commerciales said Web-based reservation agencies should be prevented from demanding that hotels offer their lowest rates only on the agencies’ portals.
