Former Hilton Group Chief Executive Sir David Michels and the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) Ulster subsidiary on Monday launched a 25-unit hotel brand for Ireland reportedly called “The Collection.”
Through Michels & Taylor, the hotel asset management company Michels runs with former Hilton colleague Hugh Taylor, a joint venture agreement has been reached with RBS to create the brand from a number of independent hotels which already have lending deals with the bank. The hotels will retain their independent status with the new venture providing sales and marketing support.
