Detroit Airport Drops Wi-Fi Fees, Adds Advertisements
Passengers will happily view a 30-second commercial for free Wi-Fi. More airports should get on board.
Excerpt from USA Today
Fliers going through Detroit Metropolitan Airport now have access to unlimited free Wi-Fi while they’re in the passenger terminals. The airport added the perk following a recent infrastructure upgrade.
Wi-Fi had already been free at the airport, but with a 30-minute time restriction. Now the free wireless signal will not only be untimed, but it also has been upgraded to be faster. Fliers’ only tradeoff for the free access will be that they’ll have to view a 30-second advertisement no more than once every 45 minutes.
