Boston Finalizes $150 Million Convention Center Hotel Project

The convention center broke its attendance record this May, right after the Boston marathon bombing, and convenient nearby accommodations might help it keep up that momentum.

The last major reviews of a $150 million project for two mid price hotels that will be located near the the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center have been completed, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority said Thursday.
Groundbreaking is expected late this year or early in 2014, with the opening scheduled for late 2015, the authority added. The project is being developed on nearly six acres of land owned by the authority at 371–401 D St. in Boston.
