Uber Readies for China Launch with Job Postings in Hong Kong and Shanghai

It’s no secret that Uber is planning to expand its Asian presence beyond Singapore, Taipei, and Seoul. These internal and external job listings are evidence that wheels are turning towards an upcoming launch.

A new job posting on a Shanghai-based site shows that the American online car booking service Uber is hiring in China ahead of a launch in the country. The ad for a Uber community manager for Shanghai (here) is the first visible move in the country by the company.
Indeed, Uber’s own in-house jobs board reveals that they’re hiring across Beijing and Hong Kong as well as Shanghai.
