Trip Planning App Roadtrippers Raises $2.5 Million for Major Expansion

Roadtrippers plans on using the $2.5 million from Drive Capital to start major expansion, including a new version of its iPhone app due out next week.

Users on the web or its iPhone app plug in their starting point and destination and can find places to stay, historical sites, eateries and attractions along the way.

[Co-founder James Fischer] said the startup also needs to build up its database of attractions and needs to expand its data center to hold four times the information it currently has.
