Accor Continues Free Wi-Fi Rollout Across All UK Hotels

First Asia Pacific, then Latin America, and now slowly across Europe, Accor has found religion on free w-fi for customers. But while it may be good for email and web access, customers still have to pay for higher speeds.

Accor is to offer free wifi at the vast majority of its UK hotels, although guests will have to pay for a premium high-speed internet service. The higher speed access over fibre optic broadband will cost £3 per 24-hour period.

The French hotel company has completed the roll-out of free basic wifi at 194 of its properties in the UK and Ireland across Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman and M Gallery hotels. But it will not be available at its three Formule 1 hotels in the UK. Accor’s Sofitel properties already offer free wifi.
