Accor is to offer free wifi at the vast majority of its UK hotels, although guests will have to pay for a premium high-speed internet service. The higher speed access over fibre optic broadband will cost £3 per 24-hour period.

The French hotel company has completed the roll-out of free basic wifi at 194 of its properties in the UK and Ireland across Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman and M Gallery hotels. But it will not be available at its three Formule 1 hotels in the UK. Accor’s Sofitel properties already offer free wifi.
