If you still haven’t booked your Thanksgiving travel if you’re planning on travel by air, well, good luck. But a look at some data from Orbitz may help if you can work your way to a less-busy feeder airport instead of a hub, or consider alternative options like road travel.

The “Orbitz Thanksgiving Insider Index” analyzed booking data from the top 50 U.S. airports, and also identify the least-busy airport options, and below is the result:

As Orbitz points out, travelers leaving the busy San Francisco or Ft. Lauderdale areas can beat the crowds about an hour north at Sacramento International and Palm Beach International – number four and number six on the least-busy list.
